ERA dual at Brooklands - The Last Lap

My first exhibitions were held at the Brooklands Society Reunions from 1983 until 1987. This painting is from those early years. Painted in 1984, it recaptures the scene of the last lap dice between the ERA’s of Prince Bira and Raymond Mays. The cars dive down the ‘home banking’ towards the finish line in the 1936 International Trophy, Bira taking the win by one second on this occasion.

Watercolour and gouache on watercolour paper, double mounted and framed with a classic frame, frame size 800mm x 620mm, image size 550mm x 370mm.

Price ex-studio - £400
